Who is PRSEA?

The Potomac Region Solar Energy Association (PRSEA) is a non-profit organization whose purposes are to further the development, use of, and support for solar energy and related arts, sciences, and technologies with concern for the economic, environmental, and social fabric of the region.

PRSEA is a chapter of the American Solar Energy Society (ASES).

World Energy Engineering Conference

October 01-03, 2008

The World Energy Engineering Conference will be at the Gaylord Convention Center, Oxon Hill, Maryland (at National Harbor). The web site is http://www.energycongress.com/. There is a registration fee of $895 or $995 (the lower fee is for members of the Association of Energy Engineers, Government, or Nonprofits). 18th Annual Tour of Solar Homes

(Maryland, DC, and Virginia)

October 4-5, 2008, 11:00 am to 5:00 pm

The 2008 Tour of Solar Homes and Buildings covers two days, with a remarkable variety of design, technology and sustainable living concepts illustrated in nearly three-dozen homes. Details are now available at http://www.solartour.org. Hours are 11:00 am to 5:00 pm both Saturday and Sunday. Each touring day has a variety of unique educational opportunities to put a true environmental "spin" on your experience. All the solar tour homes are listed in your tour booklet available at locations throughout the Washington Metropolitan area. You can also download and read the tour booklet which is your "ticket" and plan the days' adventures well in advance. Your tour booklet becomes both your map and "ticket" to gain entry to the sites on the tour. This event is a great opportunity to see what energy efficiency looks like in practice. It's also a wonderful opportunity to get ideas for your own homes and businesses, and to speak with and learn from like-minded individuals that have already implemented these ideas and technologies. Don't miss it!

Tour of Sidwell Friends School for PRSEA Members

PRSEA members will have a private tour of Sidwell Friends School at 3825 Wisconsin Avenue, N.W., in Washington, DC, another source of inspiration in thoughtful green design. The tour will begin at 10:00 am and will be followed by a General Meeting. Directions to Sidwell Friends School can be found here.
